New advance fare from Clacton offers cheaper travel to the Capital in time for Christmas shopping

Greater Anglia has introduced a new advance fare for cheaper travel from Clacton-On-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze to London Liverpool Street.
The new tickets can be booked now for travel from 9 December and will offer Christmas shoppers and visitors to the Capital cheaper one way fares from as little as £8 Standard and £13 First Class.
The new fare is available from all stations between Clacton-On-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze to London and is available on most direct trains on weekdays and at weekends.
Advance tickets have proved very popular on other routes on the network such as Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Harwich to Liverpool Street, and Greater Anglia is pleased to extend these fares to Clacton-On-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze for the first time.
Greater Anglia’s Head of Marketing, Andrew Camp, said, “The introduction of this new fare represents the delivery of another of our franchise commitments and will offer great value travel to the Capital for shopping, days out and leisure activities in the run up to Christmas.”
Tickets can be purchased up to 1800 hrs the day before departure from the ticket office, online or from the Customer Contact Centre on 0845 600 7245.
