Improvements to rail punctuality across the Greater Anglia network last year have contributed to increasing satisfaction among rail passengers, according to the latest independent Transport Focus survey.
Overall satisfaction among rail passengers on the Greater Anglia network is now 81 per cent, according to the Autumn 2019 National Rail Passenger Survey – an increase of eight percentage points compared to Autumn 2018 and one point compared to Spring 2019.
Greater Anglia is advising passengers that some services are set to be very busy on Saturday 1 February when Ipswich Town are at home to Peterborough United.
Greater Anglia is running additional services, passengers are advised that there are likely to be large queues and very busy trains, because of the expected numbers of people. Extra staff will be on hand to help.
Trains will run with the maximum number of carriages, but services are still very likely to be full.
Peterborough-Ipswich train times:
09.50 – timetabled service
Rail passengers can talk directly to Greater Anglia rail managers as the train operator announces its first ‘Tweet the manager’ feedback sessions of the year.
The next ‘Tweet the Manager’ sessions will take place from 0900 - 10:00 on 29 January and 11.00 – 13.00 on 3 February using @greateranglia, with further sessions throughout the year.
The sessions, in addition to the on train and station-based ‘Meet the manager’ sessions which also take place throughout the year, are aimed at listening to customers’ feedback and comments to help continually improve the service.
