Work will begin next week to upgrade cycle parking at Elsenham station.
A project to upgrade the cycle storage on platform 1 and install a new shelter which will be able to accommodate four additional spaces will start on Monday 20 July, and is expected to take a week to complete.
Once the work is completed, there will be space for 12 cycles.
Customers are advised that they will not be able to use the existing cycle storage on platform 1 from Friday 17 July. Temporary storage still will be provided at the station until the new shelter is completed.
Greater Anglia is creating almost 400 cycle spaces at five rail stations across its network.
Work will soon begin to create additional 392 new cycle spaces and improve lighting and CCTV at Audley End, Braintree, Manningtree, March and Newmarket stations.
Work should be completed by the end of September.
The project is being funded by Greater Anglia, the Department for Transport’s Cycle Rail Programme and three local authorities - Essex County Council, Fenland District Council and Suffolk County Council.
