With the flat racing season now in full swing, train operator Greater Anglia has teamed up with Great Yarmouth Racecourse to offer racegoers travelling to the seaside resort by train a fantastic saving on admission to the Grandstand & Paddock enclosure at the course.

Rail passengers travelling by train to the races simply need to show a valid train ticket to Great Yarmouth (purchased and issued on the day of the race meeting) at the racecourse entrance to receive £4 off the cost of a Grandstand & Paddock enclosure ticket. The usual cost of an adult entrance ticket to the Grandstand & Paddock is from £14 so the £4 reduction represents a terrific saving and a great incentive to take the train and relax on the way to the racecourse.

The offer is available at all Great Yarmouth race meetings for the remainder of the flat racing season including the Diamond Jubilee meeting on 5 June, Ladies Night, Live Music Race Nights and the famous Eastern Festival which this year runs from 18-20 September.

James Steward, Area Manager for Greater Anglia’s Rural Routes said: “We’re delighted to team-up with Great Yarmouth Races to offer rail passengers this terrific money-saving offer. Travelling by train is the relaxing and stress-free option to enjoy a great day-out at the races.”

Glenn Tubby, General Manager at Great Yarmouth Racecourse said “This is a new venture with Greater Anglia and we are pleased to offer this discount to their rail passengers enabling a great value day out at a seaside racecourse. I cannot think of a better way to travel to the races than by train.”

Customers can obtain full details on the Great Yarmouth races ticket offer and train times by enquiring at Greater Anglia stations or from the Greater Anglia website.
