Bike and Go arrives at Norwich station
Travellers to Norwich city centre can now beat the traffic and help reduce pollution by hiring a bike from Norwich station.
Abellio Greater Anglia’s ‘Bike and Go’ initiative, which has just arrived at Norwich, offers rail passengers the opportunity to hire a bike at the station for their onward journey – ideal for commuters and day-trippers alike.
The station now offers 10 high quality cycles for day hire or longer at just £3.80 per day – and as a special introductory offer, annual subscriptions are half price at just £5 and the first bike rental is free until the 31st October.
Bike and Go is the UK’s first major station cycle hire programme. Providing low cost, rapid and convenient cycle rental, it offers rail passengers greater choice about how they make their door-to-door journeys and is modelled on the Dutch Railways OV-fiets station cycle hire scheme.
To sign up to the scheme at Norwich, visit www.bikeandgo.co.uk and select the railcard 1/2 subscription option and enter the promo code Bike15.
Andrew Goodrum, Abellio Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director, said, “Norwich’s new Bike & Go facility will improve the service and choice that we provide for our customers who are keen to cycle to and from their local station. Competitively priced and easy to use, Bike & Go complements other investments we are making to improve cycle parking with more secure facilities and new Cycle Points, offering a greener and healthier travel choice for our customers.”
Bike and Go is now available at 15 Abellio Greater Anglia rail stations.
