The team at Abellio Greater Anglia’s Colchester rail station spread a little festive cheer to busy commuters during this morning’s rush hour, handing out free mince pies, chocolates, clementines and teas and coffees to rail passengers.
The festive giveaway, which took place between 0630 and 0930 this morning (22 December 2015) saw rail customers enjoy 60 mince pies, 50 clementines, 10 tins of chocolates and 400 cups of tea and coffee!
Abellio Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, John Mannion, said, “We wanted to show our regular commuters that we have appreciated their patience as we carried out improvements to the station during 2015, such as the upgrade to the waiting rooms, and as redevelopment work continues. It was great fun to spread a bit of Christmas cheer to brighten up the morning of the many passengers passing through the station on their way to work and we wish all of our customers a very happy Christmas.”
