Diss rail station’s new toilet facilities scored top marks in a recent mystery shopper survey carried out at the station.

Abellio Greater Anglia recently carried out improvement works at the station to refurbish the customer toilets and install a new disabled toilet.

As a result, passengers are enjoying a brighter, cleaner and more welcoming station environment and the toilet facilities were given a 100% when surveyed by a mystery shopper.

Diss also scored 100% for good information provision to customers.

The criteria for scoring points for good information provision includes: visible signage and directions, a clear Public Address system and regular announcements, the provision of Customer Information Screens which provide timely and accurate information, relevant timetables and posters on display, local bus and taxi information available, as well as clearly displayed opening times, No Smoking signs, maps and Welcome posters etc.

Abellio Greater Anglia’s rail stations were assessed between 7th February and 5th March 2016 as part of a regular mystery shopping exercise to check that stations are meeting the standards that customers expect of them.

Abellio Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director, Andrew Goodrum, said, “I am delighted to see that the new facilities at Diss and continued efforts of the team there have achieved top scores and helped to make the station welcoming and pleasant for our passengers.”
