Free bike hire at Norwich station to celebrate National Bike Week!

Tuesday, 7 June 2016

Travellers to Norwich city centre can beat the traffic and help reduce pollution by hiring a bike from Norwich rail station – and on Tuesday 14 June it won’t cost a penny!

Bike & Go is offering a day’s free hire to celebrate National Bike Week (11-19 June!) and encourage more people to try the innovative station cycle hire scheme.

To take advantage of a day’s free hire, cyclists must subscribe to Bike & Go in advance at (the annual £10 subscription charge will still apply).

Abellio Greater Anglia’s ‘Bike and Go’ initiative offers rail passengers the opportunity to hire a bike at the station for their onward journey – ideal for commuters and day-trippers alike.

The station’s 10 high quality cycles are available for hire at just £3.80 per 24 hour period.

Bike and Go is the UK’s first major station cycle hire programme. Providing low cost, rapid and convenient cycle rental, it offers rail passengers greater choice about how they make their door-to-door journeys and is modelled on the Dutch Railways OV-fiets station cycle hire scheme.
