Greater Anglia is offering customers the chance to sign up for a free ‘JourneyCheck’ text alert service providing real time train service information.

The new sms text service will enable customers to receive up-to-the-minute information about the train services on their regular route.

This free text service will complement a comprehensive range of real time information which Greater Anglia is providing for their customers, including the twitter feed, which now has over 7,000 followers; demonstrating the train operator's commitment to improve information provision for their customers.

To register for the new text service customers just need to visit: www.journeycheck.com/greateranglia where they will be able to set up alerts for their regular journey and will receive messages, alerting them to any service alterations which may affect them. It is also possible to receive these free service updates via e-mail too, should customers prefer this.

Andrew Goodrum Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director said: “One of our greatest priorities at Greater Anglia is to improve train service information for our customers. Introducing a free text alert service is one element in a range of measures we’ve taken to improve information provision, including our twitter feed, e-mail updates and via our website.”
