Friday, 1 March 2013

London Liverpool Street rail station’s First Class Lounge is open for business again following refurbishment by train operator, Greater Anglia.

The lounge, situated on platform 10, has undergone a complete refresh including new flooring and wallpaper, a fresh coat of paint, the installation of comfy leather sofas and a desk area with power points where commuters can continue to work on laptops or charge mobile devices before their journey.

The lounge is available to customers holding first class tickets and is open daily from 0700 to 2000.  Complimentary tea and coffee is available along with a selection of newspapers.  A screen showing departure times is provided in the lounge.

Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, Kirit Varsani, said, “The upgraded First Class Lounge is now more welcoming and pleasant. I hope that our customers will find this is an attractive and comfortable place to while away the minutes before boarding their train.”

To gain admission to the lounge, customers must present a valid first class ticket for travel on the Greater Anglia network.
