Improved waiting room at Ipswich

Rail passengers using Ipswich station are benefiting from a better waiting environment thanks to an improvement scheme carried out by Abellio Greater Anglia.

The waiting room on platform 2 has been refurbished with new seating and a new anti-slip floor to provide better conditions underfoot during wet weather.

The heated waiting room will now provide better levels of comfort to passengers all year round as they wait for trains.

James Steward, Area Customer Service Manager, said, “I look forward to welcoming customers to an improved waiting room now that the works are complete. Investing in upgrades to stations across the network is extremely important to Abellio Greater Anglia, demonstrating our commitment to providing excellent facilities and service to our customers.”
