Lucy Frazer MP to visit Kennett station improvements

Local MP Lucy Frazer will meet representatives of Abellio Greater Anglia at on Wednesday 6th April to find out about the project to upgrade the platforms and waiting rooms.

Rail passengers are now benefiting from improvements to the station, which include:

  • Resurfaced platforms, including replacement copers (slabs at the platform edge) and tactiles (the contoured slabs next to the copers which warn passengers both visually and by their texture of approach to the edge of the platform)

  • Installation of new waiting shelters on both platforms

  • The demolition of redundant buildings

  • The installation of new cycle parking hoops, increasing the current cycle parking capacity from 12 to 18.

Lucy Frazer commented: “I am delighted to visit Kennett Station to see the work that Abellio Greater Anglia has undertaken to improve the station. Investment in infrastructure is key and I was pleased to hear of the improvements that had been made at Kennett. Local residents and commuters will benefit from this investment."
