Rail passengers in the region can now find out when the cheapest fares are available for their leisure journeys into London, by signing up to Abellio Greater Anglia’s new ‘Advance Ticket Alert’.

The train operator is offering bargain Advance tickets for travel into the capital during the summer months, along with 2FOR1 offers, perfect to keep the family entertained with cut-price entry to some of the Capital’s top attractions during the summer holidays.

Booking for the special Advance fares is available up to three months before travel and, by signing up to the ‘Advance Ticket Alert’ at www.abelliogreateranglia.co.uk/alert , customers will be the first to know when the cheapest tickets are released for their journey.

A leaflet and e-shot outlining the offers and savings available has been mailed to 400,000 homes in the region - and with no weekend engineering work on the mainline between June and July, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a bargain day out in London for sightseeing, shopping or shows.

Advance fares offer families the chance to enjoy a day out in London for less. If you travel on the day for that last minute day out, you can still purchase a great value Off-Peak return ticket, and children aged between five and 15 also travel for just £2 (£2 tickets only available to purchase at the station).

The mailing also highlights opportunities to make double savings this summer by taking the train, with 2FOR1 entry to some of London’s top attractions such as Madame Tussauds, the SEA LIFE London Aquarium, the London Dungeon, Tower Bridge Exhibition, and ZSL London Zoo.

There are over 150 2FOR1 attractions offers up for grabs, with something for everyone. The full list of 2FOR1 vouchers can be viewed and downloaded at www.abelliogreateranglia.co.uk/2FOR1 and are valid on the production of a rail ticket (see website for full terms and conditions).

Abellio Greater Anglia’s Commercial Director, Andrew Camp, said, “With our great value off peak fares and special deals with attractions in the Capital, families taking the train to London can sit back, relax and enjoy a fun day out this summer for less.”

Further savings can be made with the Friends and Family Railcard or by purchasing Group Travel tickets, which can be booked via the website at www.abelliogreateranglia.co.uk . Terms and conditions apply.
