New all-year round hourly Sunday service for The Bittern Line and new, additional Cambridge to Stansted Airport services
Abellio Greater Anglia’s summer timetable commences on Sunday 18 May. The timetable features additional Sunday services between Norwich and Sheringham, Ipswich and Peterborough and Ipswich and Felixstowe. Additional Saturday services will run between Great Yarmouth and Norwich including the usual direct Great Yarmouth to London Liverpool Street service for the Summer season period.
From 21 July, Abellio Greater Anglia will operate new and additional weekday services between Cambridge and Stansted Airport, to supplement the existing Cross Country services that operate on this important corridor.
The main improvements in the timetable are:
Additional Sunday services between Norwich and Sheringham to provide an hourly frequency of service from the first departure of the day. This improved frequency - with 6 extra services operating in each direction – will also be extended beyond the Summer season to give passengers an hourly Sunday service on The Bittern Line throughout the year. The extra services which will run in addition to the existing two-hourly frequency, will depart Norwich at 09.45, 11.45, 13.45, 15.45, 17.45 & 19.45, and from Sheringham at 10.42, 12.42, 14.42, 16.42, 18.42 & 20.42.
Extra Sunday services – in addition to the normal Sunday timetable - will operate for the Summer until 7 September between Ipswich and Peterborough, departing Ipswich at 07.55 and from Peterborough at 09.50, and between Ipswich and Felixstowe, departing Ipswich at 09.55 and from Felixstowe at 10.25.
Additional Summer Saturday services will operate between Norwich and Great Yarmouth until 27 September, departing Norwich at 09.06, 10.15, 13.18 & 15.18, and from Great Yarmouth at 09.55, 11.50, 14.55 & 15.55.
Summer Saturday direct services between Great Yarmouth and London Liverpool Street will run from 12 July until 27 September, departing Great Yarmouth at 10.35 and 13.10, and from Liverpool Street at 10.00 and 12.30.
There are some minor alterations to services between London Liverpool Street and Braintree, Clacton-on-Sea and Ipswich, and also slight timing alterations to some rural services.
From Monday 21 July, new and additional Monday to Friday services will operate between Cambridge and Stansted Airport. This is a new service operated by Abellio Greater Anglia in addition to the existing service operated on this route by Cross Country. Services will depart Cambridge at 09.31, 10.26, 11.26, 12.26, 13.26, 14.26, 15.26 & 21.26, and from Stansted Airport at 10.05, 11.05, 12.05, 13.05, 14.05, 15.05, 16.05 & 22.05. All services will call at Audley End.

And from 21 July, we are looking forward to running new and additional train services on the important Cambridge to Stansted Airport route.”
There are a number of other minor alterations to services from 18 May, and customers are advised to check their travel details on the website or pick-up a timetable from staffed stations.
