New conductors graduate

Abellio Greater Anglia has welcomed eight new conductors aboard its trains following the completion of their training programme. The group joined the company earlier this year and graduated as fully-trained conductors in November.

The train operator’s latest graduates were presented with certificates by Abellio Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director, Andrew Goodrum, at a graduation ceremony held in Norwich to mark the successful completion of their training.

The newly qualified conductors will now take up their conductor positions around the Abellio Greater Anglia network, based at Ipswich, London Liverpool Street and Norwich.

Trainee conductors participate in a 16-week training programme where they learn and are coached in all the operational, commercial and customer service requirements of the train conductor role.

Andrew Goodrum, Abellio Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director commented: “It is always a pleasure to be able to welcome new colleagues into our team and I should like to wish all of our recently graduated conductors every success for their future careers.”

The new conductors are: Edina Gotthard (London), Sarah Carr (Norwich), Hayley Poynton (Norwich), Louis Bellchamber (Norwich),Jonathan Kennell-Webb (Ipswich), Connor Arribas (Norwich), Lakshmiprasad Munipalli (Ipswich) and Alan Collis (Ipswich).
