Abellio Greater Anglia has today confirmed that it is to install a new, modern customer information screen at Needham Market station in Suffolk.
Needham Market is on the Ipswich to Cambridge / Peterborough line and currently information concerning train running is provided via a TV monitor style information screen. This is now to be upgraded to a new style flat screen version with much clearer information available for customers from this more modern equipment.
Abellio Greater Anglia has already improved signage at the station to make it clearer for passengers when any rail replacement bus services are operating and confirmation that the customer information screen is being modernised will help in further improving train running information for passengers.
Paul Oxley, Abellio Greater Anglia’s Stakeholder Manager said: “We have had positive dialogue with local stakeholders at Needham Market regarding our aspiration to improve customer information at the station, and I am really grateful for the helpful feedback that has been provided. We are now delighted to confirm that we will be progressing plans to upgrade the customer information screen at the station to a new, modern version, improving the service we are able to offer our customers.”
Local stakeholders have today been informed of the plans to upgrade the customer information screen and the work will now be programmed for installation to take place in the coming months.
