Abellio Greater Anglia and tourism organisation, Visit East Anglia, have launched a new campaign to boost the region’s economy by attracting more tourists and daytrippers.

Aiming to reach in excess of 350,000 potential visitors, the partnership has produced four dedicated brochures, one each for Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, which are free and available from rail stations or online at www.abelliogreateranglia.co.uk/daysout , which aim to attract families and holidaymakers looking for fun-filled days out and breaks.

The brochures contain a guide to the best destinations in each county for shopping, culture and heritage, restaurants, museums, zoos and attractions and the great outdoors. It also highlights the very best 2FOR1 offers valid in shops, restaurants, hotels, accommodation and attractions, which can only be used in conjunction with a valid train ticket.

The brochures direct holidaymakers to the Abellio Greater Anglia website, where they can download more than 100 savings vouchers.

The four brochures are titled ‘Discover Norfolk By Train’, ‘Discover Suffolk By Train’, ‘Discover Essex By Train’ and ‘Discover Cambridge and Beyond By Train’. Each one highlights the days out and short break opportunities in the county and contains a voucher booklet which can be used in conjunction with a valid train ticket. Vouchers can also be downloaded online from www.abelliogreateranglia.co.uk/daysout .

Abellio Greater Anglia’s Commercial Director, Andrew Camp, said, “East Anglia is a fantastic place for a short break or holiday, whether you’re in search of a quiet get-away-from-it-all escape, a walking or cycling holiday, or a bustling city break brimming with culture, heritage and shopping.
