Rail customers to enjoy cleaner, brighter Tottenham Hale station

An electrical upgrade and thorough ‘deep clean’ programme at Tottenham Hale rail station are set to improve the station environment for customers.

Abellio Greater Anglia has already commenced work to remove gum and grime from the brick-weaved areas of the station and further cleaning will continue through the Spring focusing on the glass work and the supporting columns beneath the platform canopies.

Upgrades to the station’s lighting and electrics are also due to completed this Spring and will create an improved station appearance and ambience with better levels of lighting, helping to improve safety and security.

The train operator is replacing and extending its Customer Information Screens to enhance information provision at the station further still and the electrical upgrade will support the new screens, as well as providing better illumination for the new station signage.

The station is also set to benefit from the installation of more CCTV cameras and a range of security enhancements in partnership with Network Rail.

During the Spring and early Summer, work will continue at the front of the station to construct and complete a new TfL bus station, secure cycle storage, taxi rank and public square.
