Staff at Abellio Greater Anglia’s Customer Contact Centre will swap trains for trainers and put their best foot forward to raise money for Sport Relief.

Six employees, led by Customer Relations Advisor, Steven Farrell, will walk from Great Yarmouth to Norwich on 5th April 2014, hoping to raise £1,000 for charity.

Joining Steven on the walk from his home town of Great Yarmouth to Norwich, where he is a Customer Relations Advisor at Abellio Greater Anglia's Customer Contact Centre, are colleagues, Dave Bodymore, Emma Pitcher, Karen Shank, Jake Goodliffe and Shirley Block.

Two other employees at the Centre, Dave Bodymore and Karen James, have also pledged to shave their heads if the team hits their fundraising target!

The 21-mile long walk through fields and villages, which partly follows the Wherryman’s Way footpath, is expected to take around eight hours to complete.

£500 has already been pledged, putting the team well on their way to achieving their target. Sponsorship can be given by visiting www.justgiving.com/norwichstation .

Abellio Greater Anglia Customer Relations Advisor, Steven Farrell, said, “I have wanted to do a sponsored walk for charity ever since I moved to Norfolk four years ago and doing my daily commute on foot seemed like a fun and interesting way to go about it. I’m delighted that the team and I are already half way towards our sponsorship target and would be so grateful for more sponsorship to help Sport Relief raise as much money as possible for good causes.”

In an effort to raise as much money as possible the Customer Contact Centre will also be holding a cake sale on 21st March.
