Greater Anglia Provides Extra Train Services for the Chappel Beer Festival

Greater Anglia is providing additional train services for the Chappel Beer Festival.


Extra train services will operate between Chappel and Marks Tey from Tuesday 4 September to Saturday 8 September.


Bob Davies Greater Anglia’s Head of Customer Service North said: “The Famous Chappel Beer Festival returns for the twenty-sixth year to the popular East Anglian Railway Museum. Why not leave your car at home and travel to Chappel and Wakes Colne by train to enjoy everything this fantastic festival has to offer?”


The Festival is held at the East Anglian Railway Museum which is located at Chappel and Wakes Colne station on the picturesque Marks Tey to Sudbury Line. Greater Anglia operate an hourly service, 7 days per week and for the Beer Festival additional late night trains will operate to Marks Tey. Additional bus services will also supplement the train service at key points.


The festival is renown for the broad range of beer available, many of which are not usually obtainable in Essex. In addition, a great range of food is on sale too, along with cider and soft drinks. On Friday and Saturday evening visitors will also be treated to some live music.
