New accessible facilities at Ely and March stations

Passengers at Greater Anglia’s March and Ely rail stations are benefitting from improved facilities thanks to a project to install brand new disabled toilet facilities at the stations.

The new, easily accessible toilet at March will be officially opened by Stephen Barclay MP for North East Cambridgeshire, who will visit March station to view the improvements on Friday 22 March.

The work was carried out by Spence Refit Ltd and funded by train operator Greater Anglia. The company is committed to upgrades at all 167 stations on its network and has also recently installed new disabled toilet facilities at Audley End, Diss and Hockley stations.

All the new facilities are now complete and available for use.

Stephen Barclay MP said, "The new toilet facilities will be very welcome to the large number of my constituents and other passengers who use March and Ely stations. This is a most welcome improvement and another example of the modernisation and new investment now going into our railways. Greater Anglia is to be congratulated for recognising the need to maximise comfort for passengers on stations."
