I’m a big fan of the Joseph Conrad Wetherspoon on Station Square. The food is good, it’s reasonably priced and it has a great atmosphere.

Drink
It has to be the Hatfield Hotel, which has a bar and terrace that look out over the sea – it’s a fantastic place for a glass of wine with friends while watching the waves.

Shop
I can’t decide between The Green Lady Eco Store, which does refills of things like washing-up liquid, or the Gifted Emporium, which sells amazing fabrics and sewing accessories.

Must-see
The Marina Theatre, of course. We have a huge range of live events, shows and screenings all year round – there’s something for everyone. There’s also a friendly cafe for coffee, cake and sandwiches.

Sleep
The Clyffe Hotel, opposite the Claremont Pier, is lovely. It has 16 rooms, is really friendly and is just across the road from the beach. You can’t ask for more than that!
