A Norfolk railway station will be a hub of festive cheer when a popular carol concert is held later this month.

Reedham railway station on the Wherry Lines between Lowestoft and Norwich will host its popular carol concert on Monday 17 December.

Led by the Revd Lorna Allies, the concert will feature traditional music and carols on the station platform from 6pm.

Organised by the station adopter team, all are welcome to join the fun at what has become one of the most popular festive celebrations held in the village. Those attending are welcome to stay for refreshments after the concert.

An hourly service operates on the line with the 16.58 departure from Norwich calling at Brundall (17.07) and Cantley (17.13) arriving in Reedham at 17.17. From Lowestoft, the 16.48 departure calls at Oulton Broad North (16.53), Somerleyton (16.59) and Haddiscoe (17.03), arriving in Reedham at 17.12. Rail passengers from Great Yarmouth are advised to change at Norwich or Brundall.

James Reeve, Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, said: “We are very grateful to the station adopter team at Reedham for once again holding this popular event. Rail stations are often at the heart of the local community and we hope this event helps bring some festive cheer to people in Reedham.”
