Greater Anglia has received more than 12,500 job applications over the last 12 months.

And now the team which runs the recruitment and on-boarding process has been shortlisted for an award.

Greater Anglia’s Resourcing team has made it through to the final of The Learning Awards.

The team has handled more than 12,500 job applications and recruit more than 260 positions.

They have been shortlisted after creating a bespoke programme which helps people from the moment they apply, during the interview process and once they start work.

Michelle Smart, Greater Anglia’s HR Director, said: “We are very pleased that our Resourcing team have been recognised. Over the past 12 months they have worked to create a new scheme to welcome new recruits.

“Our on-boarding programme is concerned with getting the right people into the right jobs, and making sure our new recruits have everything they need to start work. We have more than 3,000 employees in the UK. The rail industry is a great place to work and offers many opportunities to progress.”

The awards ceremony will take place at the Dorchester in London in February 2018.
