People planning to celebrate Pride in East Anglia are being reminded to save money and take the train to local events.

There are several Pride events taking place around the region which are accessible by rail:

  • Colchester, Firstsite, Saturday 29 June
  • London, Trafalgar Square, Saturday 6 July
  • Norwich, Chapelfield Gardens, Saturday 27 July

Greater Anglia is also the official sponsor for Norfolk Disability Pride, which takes place on 29 September at the Forum in Norwich.

Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial and Customer Services Director, said: “We are always keen to support local events wherever possible and practical.

“Pride celebrations are always colourful, well-attended events which help bring the community together. There is no major engineering work on the days when Colchester, London and Norwich Pride events are due to take place, so it’s a great opportunity for people to leave the car at home and take the train.”

Many events are a short walk away from local railway stations and people can benefit from fares starting from just £6.

People travelling in groups of three or more can save money with Groupsave.
