Rail passengers in East Anglia are advised to check before they travel as Network Rail is carrying out engineering works over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Passengers should check the Greater Anglia website, app or Twitter as some journey times are longer due to engineering works and train times are altered due to Bank Holiday timetables.
Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia Managing Director, said: “We are sorry that our customers will be inconvenienced while Network Rail completes this engineering work.
“Ultimately it will help us to run a more reliable, on time railway and make customers’ journeys better.
“While the engineering work is going on, we will make sure that our customers are still able to complete their journeys, even if part of it is by bus.”
Here is a breakdown of where buses will replace trains this weekend:
On Saturday 5, Sunday 6 and Monday 7 May, replacement buses will run between Ipswich and Felixstowe from 18.50.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday Greater Anglia is providing replacement buses all day between Ely and Peterborough.
As a result of Crossrail work and overhead line renewal, all lines will be closed between Shenfield and Southend Victoria / Southminster all day on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Greater Anglia is providing replacement buses between Shenfield and Southend Victoria / Southminster all day on these days.
c2c will accept Greater Anglia seasons tickets which are monthly and longer on their services all weekend.
And, as a result of Crossrail work, overhead line and track renewal, all lines will be closed between Liverpool Street and Ingatestone / Southend Victoria / Southminster all day.
There will also be no Greater Anglia trains between Liverpool Street and Ingatestone, Southend Victoria, Southminster all day on Sunday. Greater Anglia is providing replacement buses between London Liverpool Street and Ingatestone, Southend Victoria, Southminster and Newbury tube station all day. On Monday, a Saturday service will operate.
Greater Anglia tickets will be accepted on the Central Line from Newbury Park to/from London Liverpool Street on Sunday.
Additionally on Sunday 6 May, buses will replace trains between Cambridge and Stansted Airport / Audley End until 09.40AM on Sunday. A Saturday service will operate on this route on Monday.
