Chelmsford rail station workers praised for top customer service

Greater Anglia employees at Chelmsford rail station have been praised by mystery shoppers for giving excellent customer service.

After being secretly assessed, Jill Hamilton, who works in the ticket office and Ryan Reavell, who works on the platforms, were awarded top marks for being friendly, helpful and professional when providing help and information to passengers.

Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, Simi Tinubu, commented, “I am delighted that Ryan and Jill have been independently recognised for consistently delivering excellent service to customers.”

Jill was also recently named one of Greater Anglia’s ‘Stars of the Year’ for delivering exceptional customer service to passengers and receiving lots of positive feedback from them, as well as creating welcoming and informative messages on the station’s whiteboard.

Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial and Customer Services Director, said, “We are always working to improve customer service so that passengers have the best possible experience when they travel with us.

“One important element of this is to give our staff additional training, enabling them to provide the best service possible."
