Four Greater Anglia teams have just been awarded the prestigious ‘Investor in People’ (IIP) Gold status in recognition of the company’s progressive approach to business improvement through its people.

Greater Anglia’s HR and Safety, Security and Sustainability, Train Presentation and Train Service Delivery Team all separately achieved the Gold standard, putting them among just 3.5% of all organisations currently assessed in the UK.

Over 1500 members of staff work in the teams based across the Greater Anglia network, and are responsible for a huge range of operations from running trains and cleanliness to staff recruitment and management.

Each team achieved a Gold Award, demonstrating that they have gone beyond the 27 requirements needed to achieve the standard IIP Status and have taken a forward thinking and expansive approach to cascading best practice through every level of the organisation.

In achieving the Gold Status, the teams demonstrated through evidence portfolios, 1-1 interviews and observations that they consistently create positive outcomes across the nine key areas of Investors In People, going beyond the standard accreditation.

Commenting on the awards of ‘Investor in People’ status, Greater Anglia’s Human Resources Director, Katy Bucknell, said:

“The award of ‘Investor in People’ Gold status for these teams is another key milestone in our approach to offering customers a consistent, professional and high-quality standard of service, through excellent staff recruitment, support, engagement and training processes.

“I am pleased to offer my warmest congratulations to all the teams, who have all worked extremely hard in achieving these awards.”
