Greater Anglia staff at Cambridge North station are raising hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Relief by shaving their heads on Friday.

Lee Scott and Sasha Migdal are already close to their £400 target and hope to raise even more with a cake sale and sponsored head shave at the station on Friday morning, 28 September, for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event.

Sasha and Lee work as Welcome Hosts at the station providing information and assistance to passengers, but also find time to hold fundraising events at the station.

They also recently held a cake sale in support of the Alzheimer’s Society, raised money for Cancer Research and Addenbrookes, set up a book swap area and organised a regular visit from a mobile library.

Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, Anita Stuart, said, “Sasha and Lee work really hard helping customers, but go the extra mile in supporting the whole community with lovely events that raise money for great local causes.”

Since 2015 Macmillan’s brave shavers have together raised over £16.8 million for the charity.
