Greater Anglia employees at Ipswich praised for top customer service

Greater Anglia employees in the Ipswich Area have been praised by mystery shoppers for giving excellent customer service.

After being secretly assessed, six employees working in the ticket office and on the platforms were awarded top marks for being friendly, helpful and professional when providing help and information to passengers.

Customer Service team members Tony Guyton, Andy Turnbull, Louise Wisbey, George Drake, and Ticket Office Supervisor, Richard Perkins, who all work at Ipswich station, were all awarded a score of 100% for delivering excellent customer service.

Chris Mock, who works on the platform at Stowmarket station also received top marks.

Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, Emma Pitcher, commented, “I’m delighted that both the Ticket Office and Platform colleagues have been awarded the highest possible score. It’s a real testament to their enthusiasm and hard work in delivering excellent customer service to our passengers every day.”

Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial and Customer Services Director, said, “We are always working to improve customer service so that passengers have the best possible experience when they travel with us.

“One important element of this is to give our staff additional training, enabling them to provide the best service possible.”

Customer service and quality standards at Greater Anglia stations are assessed on a regular basis and the staff at Ipswich and Stowmarket achieved a perfect 100% score when assessed as part of a recent mystery shopping exercise.
