Train operator, Greater Anglia, is offering reduced priced tickets from just £5 between Southend and London.
The bargain price Advance tickets are available for off peak travel on trains from Southend Victoria and Prittlewell.
The discounted fares are ideal for a visit to Stratford’s Westfield shopping mall or for a trip out of the city to coast.
The £5 one way fares are available to book online only at www.greateranglia.co.uk and tickets can be booked up to two hours before departure. As an extra bonus, children travel for just £2, with no need to book, just purchase them at the station.
Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director, Andrew Goodrum, said, “We’re delighted to offer these cut price tickets which will offer a great opportunity to enjoy a bargain day out for shopping, leisure or family fun.”
The £5 tickets can also be combined with Greater Anglia’s range of 2 for 1 offers on attractions and restaurant deals to make the pennies stretch even further.
