Greater Anglia has recognised two employees at Chelmsford station as their ‘Stars of the Year’.

Alan Godding and Jill Hamilton, who work in the ticket office, were nominated by their colleagues and managers to receive the accolade.

Jill Hamilton, Ticket Office Clerk, was selected for delivering exceptional customer service to passengers and receiving lots of positive feedback from them, as well as creating welcoming and informative messages on the station’s whiteboard.

Alan Godding, Ticket Office Supervisor, was recognised for supporting his colleagues by creating a staff newsletter and training workshops in his own time, to help the entire team deliver a better service to customers.

Greater Anglia’s Assistant Area Customer Service Manager, Sarah Moss, said, “I’m really proud that Alan and Jill have been recognised for the effort and enthusiasm they put into their roles, which really helps to improve our customers’ experience here at Chelmsford.”

‘Star of the Year’ is a Greater Anglia internal awards scheme designed to recognise staff who go above and beyond in a range of areas, from giving great customer service to suicide interventions.
