Greater Anglia will run an additional train for Norwich City fans travelling to Watford on Friday night.

The additional service will depart London Liverpool Street at 23.59 on Friday 21 January. It will call at Colchester (00.50), Manningtree (00.58), Ipswich (01.09), Stowmarket (01.20), Diss (01.32) and is due to arrive in Norwich at 01.56.

The timetabled 23.30 service from London Liverpool Street to Norwich is also scheduled to run. This service will call at Stratford (23.38), Chelmsford (23.59), Colchester (00.19), Manningtree (00.28), Ipswich (00.39), Stowmarket (00.56), Diss (01.08) and is due to arrive in Norwich at 01.33.

Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial, Customer Services and Train Presentation Director, said: “We know this match is very important to many of our customers, which is why we’re running an additional train. This service will leave Liverpool Street at 23.59 and it will be the last train to Norwich that night.

“To save time and beat the queues, passengers are advised to buy tickets online or via the Greater Anglia app before they travel. We would like to remind customers about discounts including GroupSave which gives a third off for people travelling in groups of three or more.

“Our new trains are longer and have more seats, however we would ask everyone to be patient while boarding as we are expecting higher than usual passenger numbers on these services.”

Customers are advised to use the full length of trains and platforms and to wear a face covering at stations and on trains.
