Greater Anglia runs extra trains to coincide with Chappel beer festival

Greater Anglia is running additional trains to help punters celebrate Chappel beer festival.

The beer festival runs from Tuesday 5 to Friday 8 September and is held close to Chappel & Wakes Colne railway station, which is on the Marks Tey to Sudbury line.

On the Tuesday and Wednesday, an additional evening train will operate at 23.00 from Chappel & Wakes Colne to Marks Tey. The 23.01 Marks Tey to Sudbury will depart later at 23.14, and 23.26 Sudbury to Colchester will depart later at 23.43, both will run later throughout.

On the Thursday and Friday, buses will run between Marks Tey and Chappel & Wakes Colne from 17.10. The 23.01 Marks Tey to Sudbury service and 23.26 Sudbury to Colchester service will operate as a bus between Sudbury and Marks Tey, where passengers can catch a train. Buses will run at 23.00 & 23.30 from Chappel & Wakes Colne to Marks Tey and an additional bus will also run at 23.40 from Chappel & Wakes Colne to Colchester.
