Last month we introduced Ken the Fare Guru to the masses – the real-life Greater Anglia pricing analyst brimming with useful hacks to get passengers on the go for less.

He loves Christmas almost as much as he loves trains, so throughout December he’ll be sharing money saving tips as well as information about festive events happening across the network – East Anglia, Essex and London.

Ken will be embracing the Christmas spirit in style with a dozen festive looks to accompany his travel tips – the 12 Kens of Christmas. Keep an eye on Greater Anglia’s social media accounts from Friday, 1 December, when the first will be released.

Ken, who was born on Christmas Day, works day in day out to uncover the best deals on the Greater Anglia train network. His train travel hacks derive from his in-depth knowledge of fares after working in ticket offices for 18 years, and have the potential to help millions to save thousands as they explore up to 170 stations.

Ken said: “I really enjoy Christmas and I think there’s something very special about jumping on the train with family and friends to go shopping for presents, visit a Christmas market or go along to carol concert.

“My top tips for Christmas travel will bring together travel deals and festive events happening throughout East Anglia and Essex.

“I think my love for all things festive stems from my birthday being on Christmas Day!”
