Kind-hearted members of Greater Anglia’s Revenue Protection team have given up their own gifts and donated to help homeless people in the run up to Christmas.

The 285 staff filled 72 shoe boxes with essentials such as toothpaste, deodorant, toothbrushes, hats gloves scarves and socks which will be distributed by the Greenleaf Trust, a charity which helps homeless people during the cold winter months by providing hot food, showers, haircuts, GP visits and a warm place to sleep.

The staff also donated some of their own gifts, including boxes of chocolates and each donated to the Trust, raising a total of £937.50.

Greater Anglia’s Head of Revenue Protection, Kim Bucknell, said, “Our Revenue Protection team does a tough job but they are a really caring bunch too so we were very pleased to help the Greenleaf Trust who do such important work at this time of year.”
