Passengers using Ingatestone rail station have described the team that work there as ‘incredible’, leading to them receiving a Customer Service Week Award.

Dozens of rail users nominated Steve Wills and David Moody for Best Station Team when Greater Anglia held a Customer Service Week in April.

One passenger commented: “Please can I vote for Steve Wills and David Moody from Ingatestone station for the Customer Service award? They are incredible.”

Another said, “They make the most of the station and make sure that we know what's going on.”

Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, Sarah Moss, said, “I’m delighted that Steve and David have been named the Best Station Team on the network.

“They are a fantastic example of a dedicated team who really care about their station and always go the extra mile to ensure that customers are well looked after, putting a smile on people’s faces.

“They really deserve this recognition and I’m grateful to everyone who nominated them.”

The awards were judged by the Greater Anglia Leadership Team who assessed each nominee for, amongst other criteria, the effort they make to exceed customer expectations and the level to which they know the value of excellent service to the business.

Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia’s Managing Director, said, “Delivering excellent customer service is a priority and I would like to offer my congratulations and gratitude to all the teams and individuals who were nominated for a National Customer Service Week award. I am very proud of our passenger-focused employees across the network who do their upmost to exceed our customers’ expectations every day.”

Other winners, nominated by passengers, included the Greater Anglia Twitter Team, conductor Wayne Johnson, Atanaska Abdesetar of Shenfield station, Sarah Armour at Tottenham Hale station and Greater Anglia’s train and station cleaning teams.
