Aviation enthusiasts can visit the Imperial War Museum at Duxford for less this year, thanks to Greater Anglia.

The local train operator has partnered with the Imperial War Museum to offer a special package including train travel, a shuttle bus and entry to the event.

Tickets are available for the Duxford Air Festival, which takes place on 25 and 26 May. The ticket includes Friday to Monday open return train tickets from any Greater Anglia station to Cambridge station, a shuttle bus from Cambridge direct to the museum, entry to Duxford Air Festival and a flight line walk.

Visitors will also be treated to fast flying, dazzling air displays and thrilling technology over the spring bank holiday weekend.

The Battle of Britain air show will take place from 21-22 September and visitors can take a nostalgic trip back in time to the 1940s.

The Imperial War Museums’ hangars, airfield and showground will be transformed for the weekend with re-enactors, 1940s music and dance, daring air displays, entertainments and activities culminating in a mass Spitfire flypast.

Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial and Customer Services Director, said: “We’ve made it even easier for people to enjoy this unmissable event at the Imperial War Museum. Tickets include rail travel, transfers to the museum and entry to the event, which means people can enjoy travelling without the stress of driving.

“We are always happy to support local events wherever possible and practical, and we would encourage people to book in advance as tickets sold out last year.”
