With more than 1.4 million visitors last year, Pleasure Beach Great Yarmouth is East Anglia's most popular tourist attraction. Entry to the park is free with wristbands for visitors who want to ride one of the 20 large attractions, get wet on the water attractions and scream on the white-knuckle favourites like the traditional wooden roller-coaster which has been at the park since 1933, the log flume, the swinging pirate ship and the stomach-churning Sky Drop which plummets back to terra firma from a height of 22 metres. Families can tee up on the adventure golf course for an additional charge, and the go-karts and coin operated or pay rides are not included in the wristband price either. There are gentler attractions too including dodgems, the Big Apple children's roller-coaster and the Gallopers' carousel, all with great views from the town from the park's nine-acre seafront location.
Mon-Sun 11am, check before travelling - some seasonal and weather-dependant closures may apply
