We’ve invested £12m to refurbish our Intercity Mk3 trains between Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Chelmsford and London.
The improvements include new carpets, seat covers and power points, as well as new lighting, upgraded toilets and interior and exterior redecoration - all with a view to making your journey more comfortable and helping you make the most of the time you spend with us.
An extra train, more seats, more comfort
We’ve provided over 2,500 additional Standard seats on weekdays –that’s an extra 600,000+ Standard seats a year – by hiring an extra train and adding more seats to existing trains. More seats,more comfort.
First Class catering to your seat
We’ve recruited additional catering staff so we can offer an at-seat catering service in our First Class carriages as part of our commitment to exceptional service quality. You can sit back and enjoy a First Class catering experience, without leaving your seat.
Going eco, feeling good
We’ve nearly completed fitting eco-toilets in all our Intercity carriages; and now we’ve launched a new programme to fit similar facilities in our Class 321 trains as part of a £2 million investment by Network Rail.
