This station has step free access to both platforms. However, please note that step free access to Platform 1 (for trains towards Manningtree) is via the barrow crossing at the end of the platform. This ramp is quite steep so may not be suitable for all.

Don’t get stuck on the train

If you’re travelling from Manningtree or Colchester to Mistley station, please travel in the back three coaches of the train. This is for Greater Anglia trains with 5 coaches only as the doors on the front two coaches will not open at Mistley station.

If you're travelling from Harwich Town, Dovecourt, Harwich International or Wrabness, please travel in the front three coaches of the train. This is for Greater Anglia trains with 5 coaches only as the doors on the last two coaches will not open at Misley station.
