First new Greater Anglia train takes shape at Bombardier
Work is well underway on the first of over 100 brand new Greater Anglia trains being built at the Bombardier factory in Derby.
Better Customer Information Screens coming to a rail station near you
Customer information is being improved at rail stations across the region with the installation of better Customer Information Screens.
More than 1,000 new screens will be installed across all of Greater Anglia’s 133 stations - including ones that have never had them before such as Beccles, Brundall Gardens, Elmswell, Gunton, Lakenheath, Oulton Broad South, Spooner Row and Whittlesea.
Take a seat and look around Greater Anglia’s new trains through virtual reality
People can try out seats which will be fitted onto Greater Anglia’s new trains at four virtual reality experience roadshows during the Easter break.
Two pairs of seats identical to those due to be installed on the brand new trains will be at Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge and Chelmsford stations for people to test.
At the same time, they can put on a pair of virtual reality goggles and see what the rest of the train will look like – and experience being on board a new train just before it sets off from a station.
