The Cartoon Museum

Highlights include 'Deeds not Words: Who got the vote in 2018?' Punch magazine cartoons show women's fight for the vote; 'High Art and Low Life: Collecting and showing British Cartoon and Comic Art' [1 April – November 2018].
There are Kids trails, spotlight talks and you can also get involved in our Comic Creators project.

The Clink Prison Museum
Built on the site of the original Clink Prison, this fascinating museum tells the scandalous truth of Old Bankside, the gruesome stories of prisoners, and features a hands-on torture chamber.
Are you brave enough to dig deep inside our mystery coffin? Kids, can you count the hidden rodents in the museum? Come and visit The Clink, the prison that gave its name to all the others!
The Fan Museum

Visit the only museum in the UK devoted to the history of fans and the art of fan making. Nestled in the heart of historic Greenwich, The Fan Museum is home to a diverse collection of fans from around the world, dating from the 12th century to the present day.
Our collections are displayed in changing exhibitions exploring the different themes: politics, fashion, fine art and architecture to name but a few. Enjoy London’s ‘Best Value Afternoon Tea’ (Daily Telegraph 2012) in our beautiful muraled orangery.
This unique garden room, with its beautifully detailed murals, exudes an enchanting atmosphere. Overlooking a ‘secret’ garden in the Japanese style, it offers the perfect space to unwind over one of our delicious teas. Afternoon tea comprises tea or coffee with a scone, cream & jam, and a selection of freshly-baked cakes, all for just £8 per person, plus museum admission charges.
The Household Cavalry Museum
An iconic must-see, The Household Cavalry are world famous as HM The Queen’s mounted bodyguard and are seen on television worldwide. The sentries at Horse Guards have guarded the entrance to the Royal Residences since 1660.
We house the best items from one of the world’s finest regimental collections, superb interactives and graphics. Watch the troopers at work through a large glazed partition. You can also try on parts of the uniform which makes for great photographs!
A visit to the Museum is complimented daily by colourful sentry changes on the hour and set piece guard changes at 11am (10am Sundays) The Changing of the Queen’s Life Guard and at 4pm The Garrison Inspection.
These ceremonial guard duties show unique British pageantry at its best.
The Musical Museum

See and hear our fascinating range of self-playing instruments and music rolls tell the story of how people listened to music before the days of microphones and electronics.
Knowledgeable tour guides show how music was captured. See instruments powered and experience the sounds and actions of self-playing instruments.
Kids detective trails are available for younger visitors.
The Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret
Hidden in the roof of a church, a 300-year old herb garret houses the only surviving 19th century operating theatre, complete with wooden operating table and observation stands, from which spectators witnessed surgery performed without anaesthetic or antiseptics.
Typhoon Force Simulator at the Science MuseumOur simulator takes you on an action-packed flight, demonstrating the aircraft's manoeuvrability through the beautiful landscapes of North Wales and the Lake District.
Experience the thrill of riding in the cockpit of this impressive aircraft, with a rapid descent from 40,000 feet, formation flying with a second Typhoon and landing at RAF Coningsby.
Located in our Fly Zone gallery on Level 3, this flight simulator offers a state-of-the-art audio-visual presentation that gets you closer to the action than ever before.

Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) - Videogames: Design / Play / Disrupt
Exhibition Dates: 8 September 2018 - 24 February 2019This exhibition provides a unique insight into the design process behind a selection of groundbreaking contemporary videogames.
