Entry to Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show 2019, return rail travel and shuttle bus
Be transported back in time to summer 1940, our Finest Hour, at the Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show.
The roar of Merlin engines will fill the air as historic aircraft take to the skies above this important RAF fighter station steeped in the history of defending Great Britain during the Second World War. Step into Duxford’s remarkable past as Imperial War Museums’ hangars, airfield and showground is transformed for the weekend with re-enactors, 1940's music and dance, entertainments and activities.
Witness daring air displays, dogfights and aerobatics – ending with the splendour of our now famous mass Spitfire flypast in the skies where history happened.
Experience the spectacle and be part of the action – dress in authentic 1940's style and take part in our showground celebration of the determination and spirit of the era. Step onto the airfield to get close to the aircraft, pilots and crew on the Flightline Walk as they pay tribute to ‘the few’ to whom so much was owed by so many.
The last event of the air show season, stepping onto the historic airfield and back into history makes this event the Great British Day out of 2019.
