A fault with the signalling system between Ely and Norwich Earlier

Following a fault with the signalling system between Ely and Thetford all lines have now reopened.

Impact:
Train services running through these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised. Normal services will be provided as soon as possible.

Customer Advice:
Due to loss of the signalling between Ely to Thetford earlier train services between Norwich and Cambridge have been disrupted. Trains were unable to run between Thetford and Ely.
Network Rail engineers have restored the signals and train services are running through however the 22:10 Stansted Airport to Norwich which started from Ely is running 60 minutes late as a result.

Greater Anglia and Network Rail are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
