Following overhead wire problems between Cambridge and Shelford all lines have reopened.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Buses have been requested to go to Audley End/Cambridge and Stansted but due to this incident affecting a large area and bus operators being in high demand, we have only been able to source a few.

This problem is also affecting Govia Thameslink Railway/Great Northern and Cross Country services.

Incident information 00:14;

Due to a fault with the overhead wires just outside of Cambridge (London side), services are being severely disrupted. A train which was in the affected area at the time (another train operating company) was trapped just outside of Cambridge. The trapped train has been moved and all lines are now open.

Greater Anglia tickets are being accepted on London North East Railway LNER and Cross Country on reasonable routes.

Train services between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Train services between Stansted Airport and Cambridge via Audley End may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
