Service Disruption: An earlier Broken Down Train At Marks Tey

Following an earlier broken down train at Marks Tey the line towards Colchester has now reopened.


Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 19:00 17/07.

Customer Advice

The 13:00 from Liverpool Street to Norwich broke down earlier at Marks Tey.and a rescue locomotive had to be mobilised to move the train to Colchester.

The defective train is now at Colchester and both lines are now open between Kelvedon and Colchester.

As a result Greater Anglia trains between Liverpool Street and Colchester, Clacton on Sea, Ipswich and Norwich are being disrupted with cancellations, alterations and delays of up to 60 minutes.
