Train Service Disruption in the Needham Market area

Following a vehicle hitting a railway bridge earlier today between Ipswich and Needham Market all lines have now reopened.

Train services running through these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be delayed or revised. Normal services will be provided as soon as possible.

Train services between Ipswich and Cambridge, Norwich and Peterborough are being disrupted due to a lorry striking a bridge in the Needham Market area earlier. All lines have now reopened however some train services may be delayed, altered or cancelled as a result. The 12:30 Liverpool Street to Norwich service is on the move and running 30 minutes late from Ipswich. The 12:47 Cambridge to Ipswich service is on the move from Stowmarket and it is running 34 minutes late and the 13:30 Norwich to Liverpool Street service is also running 21 minutes late from
Stowmarket.
The 13:58 Ipswich to Peterborough service will terminate at Ely and the 15:50 Peterborough service will start from Ely.
The 14:20 Ipswich to Cambridge service will be 20 minutes late from Ipswich and will terminate at Bury St Edmunds and as a result the 15:47 Cambridge to Ipswich will start from Ely.
