Train Service Disruption in the Westerfield area

Following an earlier broken down train between Westerfield and Ipswich all lines have now reopened.

Train services running through these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised. Normal services will be provided as soon as possible.

Train services between Ipswich and Felixstowe and Lowestoft have been disrupted due to an earlier broken down train in the Westerfield area.
The response team have restored power to the unit is now clear of the line.
Rail replacement buses will continue to run on the Felixstowe branch where a train has been cancelled.
Some Ipswich to Lowestoft services may be cancelled and replaced by buses as far as Saxmundham.
Passengers travelling to/from Ipswich to Lowestoft may travel via Norwich.
Passengers travelling on the Felixstowe branch may also travel on the local buses between Ipswich and Felixstowe.
