Station message

Work is taking place to upgrade the lifts at Chelmsford station. Work to replace the lift on platform 2 is due to be completed and open for use by 17 April 2024. Platform 2 is for services towards Braintree, Sudbury, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester, Ipswich, and Norwich.

The lift on platform 1 will then be replaced, with work starting on 18 April 2024 and continuing until the end of August. The lift on platform 1 will be out of use during this time. Platform 1 is for services towards Shenfield, Stratford, and London Liverpool Street.
